Phase 3 Pool Update

Crosspointe Community,

Happy 4th of July!  What better way to celebrate our Independence than with our pools allowing free swim on Friday July 3rd?  A special thanks goes to our Crosspointe BoT for approving Phase III rules in accordance with the Governor’s guidelines.

So, what is new with Phase III and what is staying the same?  We are still in a pandemic, so safety of our patrons remains paramount.   If you are sick or potentially infected with COVID-19, we ask that you stay away from pools for the safety of others.

Under Phase III members not of the same household must remain 10 ft apart while in the water or on the pool deck. We ask that patrons wear masks when not in the pool.  We also ask that you bring your own furniture, as Crosspointe will not be providing furniture in Phase III due to cleaning mandates.  You are welcome to bring in food and drink (no glass); however, there is no grilling at the pool in Phase III.

We are keeping the same basic schedule for Phase III with the pool open in 2-hour blocks with 30 minutes of closure to allow for cleaning.  Within each 2-hour block, members will be allowed to reserve the baby pool, shallow areas, the main pool areas (to include the dive well), and lap lanes.  Members must be signed up to enter the facility.  No walk-ins.

·       The main pool (to include dive well) will be capped at 55 patrons for GE and 45 for OC.

·       The shallow areas (with steps) will be reserved for 2 households of 4 members or one large household of up to 8 members.  The intent for these areas is for families with small children, and they should stay in this shallow area.  Likewise, main pool swimmers should stay out of the shallow areas to maintain the 10 ft social distancing.

·       The baby pool will be reserved for 1 household with a max of 8 members.  There will be (2) 1-hour sessions for the baby pool in each 2-hour block.

·       Lap swim remains the same. Up to 3 members may swim in a lap lane.  Lanes used by more than one person must be consensually agreed upon.  2 lanes are available at each pool with (3) 40-minute sessions per 2-hour block.  Lap swimmers may not use other reserved areas.  Swim lessons will be conducted in lap lanes.

SIGN-UPS ARE LIMITED TO ONE PER MEMBER PER DAY.  Exceptions include swim instructors, and those who may reserve a baby pool slot and an additional slot on the same day.

We are excited to be entering Phase III and we ask that you have some patience as we learn to adapt to this new Phase.  We will look forward to your feedback so we can make improvements going forward.

Please see attached Phase III rules and Phase III schedule for additional information.
